| The interesting fact about this WWII War Cemetery in Florence is that it contains no soldiers from America. Virtually every other nation possilbe is represented here with the exception of the USA. Another cemetery near Florence holds the remains of the American soldiers. |

| One of the fascinating things we noticed about the Italian cemeteries was how common it was to have a photo of the deceased displayed on the marker.
