Some of this is just "art"
Much of what follows, however, is here to inspire thought, introspection and to inspire.
In many cases I seek to immortalize those who have gone before. I find the graves of children especiallly compelling, knowing what their parents must have endured.
While the mrkers may decay and become illegible with time, I hope this digital record may survive.

Not everyone appreciates Cemeteries, but for those who do:

Pilot Knobs Cemetery

Pilot Knobs Cemetery, also referred to as the Clarke Cemetery, is the oldest Necropolis in Grayson County. Originally much larger (approx. 10 acres) it is believed the majority of the cemetery lies under the nearby apartments and roadbed. Only one marker of the Clarke descendants for which the cemetery is named still stands today.

We discovered this as a result of a tip received from a Denison homeowner whos home we had stopped to photograph.

Unmarked and well-concealed, Pilot Knobs Cemetery is one of the best-kept secrets in the annals of Texas Cemeteries.
